We are an all-volunteer organization
We need your support
We are an all-volunteer organization and need your help to continue our programs. We need you….. the community needs you…. and our community cats need you! Please see the areas listed below where we currently need help. The first step in volunteering for us is to attend one of our free TNR Classes, found HERE. Please do this before you complete our volunteer form.
Age requirement: Any job that involves handling cats can only be done if you are over 18 yrs old. There are many volunteer opportunities that can be done by a younger crowd such as fundraising and helping with events.
We can only do what we have the resources to support!
How to volunteer
Ways you can volunteer

01. Helpline
SAFCC has the only 24/7 Helpline in San Antonio dedicated to outside cats. A pre-recorded message will ask the caller to leave their name, number and reason for calling. Volunteers return calls within 24 hours and educate, give advice, and refer callers to an appropriate resource, as necessary. We provide cell phone and training. This is a perfect job for someone who wants to help but has physical limitations. We are always looking for new Helpline Volunteers! Contact us today if you can help!

02. Petco Stores
We have adoptable cats at 5 Petco locations in San Antonio (Terrell Hills, Bandera, DeZavala, San Pedro, and Stone Oak). We need volunteers to feed and clean cubicles. If you reside nearby to these locations, please consider taking these cats for an overnight stay so these cats can stretch their legs and play. Contact us today if you can help!

03. Community Outreach
We provide several TNR educational workshops throughout San Antonio and throughout the year. We are always in need of volunteers that can lead these presentations. Presentations would rotate between several volunteers. Contact us today if you can help!

05. Backyard Homes / Relocation
Relocation is always a last resort and done only when cats or kittens will not survive in their current environment. We prefer to relocate to back yards instead of barns or farms, when possible. If you are willing to accept 1 or more outside cats, please let us know and someone will discuss the process with you. SAFCC will provide a large cage, if needed, for the 2-3 week acclimation period.

06. Foster Parents
We are in need of fosters at this time.
We (San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition Community Cat Adoption Program – CCAP) receive more calls about kittens than any other group in town, yet our Foster Program is one of the smallest. Fostering is saving lives and is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Contact us today to find out about fostering. We provide food, toys, and medical care. You provide love!
