We need some volunteers to help in the following areas:
Spay/Neuter Clinic Volunteer
Time required: Wednesday, once a month, for half a day
AM shift: 8:15 – 12:15
PM shift: 12:00 – 4:30 (usually)
Requirements: ** this is a physical job **
- Help trappers bring cats to and from the trapper’s cars
- Weigh cats in traps and keep the surgery line moving & putting traps back on tables (this requires a strong back and shoulder strength)
- Help keep paper work on each cats
- Monitor cat’s recovery immediately post-op as they wake up and notify vet staff of any problems
- Works well with others having a positive attitude
Helpline – If you are ready to be the voice of our organization by responding to calls from the community who need advice and help, consider our Helpline Team! We need dedicated team members who can do a half-day shift every week. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to work from home or are retired.
South & West side trappers – The south and west side of San Antonio are two areas where we could use volunteer trappers for our Trapper Team. The trappers are paid $20 per cat for TNR services. People who meet the criteria for our Trapper Team services are the elderly and disabled, who cannot physically trap themselves. We are looking for experienced trappers who can follow our TNR guidelines. If you would like to know more, please fill out our volunteer form below.
