The faces of scared little kittens as they get trapped and taken away from the only place they call home is something we see every day. Sometimes they even fight back. They do not understand that we are saving them from the cruel fate of an unfixed feral who spends their life fighting, hiding, and suffering from the exposure to dangerous animals and humans. Our team utilizes so many resources to save each cat. Our helpline, trappers, cat crisis fund, and fosters tirelessly work together to ensure that needless suffering is prevented.
Even when we spay/neuter cats, we still have volunteers who go out of their way to feed colonies who are released or volunteers who visit our Petco and PetSmart locations to make sure our adoptable cats have everything they need until their future families find them.
It has always taken a village to do what we do and there are still so many cats we haven’t been able to help yet. Big Give is September 20th – 21st and we want to raise the most we’ve ever been able to raise in honor of Bexar County’s community cats and Big Give’s 10 year anniversary!
Our goal this year is to raise $20,000. Yes, this goal is a big and scary number. But we promise that a world flooded with more cats and kittens than we know what to do with is even scarier.
With the help of Big Give’s match minutes, donations can be doubled thanks to generous sponsors, increasing our chances of reaching this very big goal.
If you do not want to miss the big day, early giving starts September 13th! This is one week prior to the big day and any and all donations will help us get closer to our big goal. Even if you only have $10, it may be the difference we need for litter, food, or the final balance of a vet visit.
Anyone can give and spread the word. We have a full 24 hours starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20th to 6 p.m. September 21st. Can you give to community cats on any of these days instead of purchasing a coffee before work?
