SAFCC Helpline 210-877-9067

Connections in the cat community tend to come in clutch. Especially for those that continue to TNR with their own traps, food, and time and energy. Every once in a while it seems like trappers encounter a witty and smart cat who simply cannot be fooled to take the bait inside a trap. After a dedicated community member tirelessly tried to catch the female cat pictured here for 4 months without success, they turned to other cat lovers in the community for advice. That is when they were able to get connected to our organization.

We want to give a big shoutout to our volunteers DJ and Donna who stepped in to give advice on how to trap community cats. With the help of their advice, the community member was able to trap this female cat on their first try. We now have another spayed female, sparing San Antonio from hundreds of kittens who would have been born on the streets. Even the experienced trappers with the best intentions who have also taken our TNR class will come across tough cats to trap. We want our community to know that SAFCC is also a resource for advice on TNR. Sometimes the best thing to do is to simply ask for help. Thank you again to DJ and Donna for helping a fellow trapper and getting this female cat on a healthier path.
