** All cats must be in a covered TruCatch trap  ** 1 cat per trap ** Nothing to eat after midnight but leave water in trap over night ** All cats will be ear-tipped ** If clinic capacity is reached, please do not release your cat! Try another clinic or keep cat for tomorrow.  NO APPOINTMENTS NECESSARY FOR SAFCC PARTNER CLINICS – NOTE DROP OFF TIMES UNDER EACH CLINIC.  

SAFCC Partner Clinics – $20

We subsidize these clinics so the trapper only pays $20 for the surgery, vaccines and ear tip. This program is only for those who have taken our free TNR Class. Effective 6-13-22, only Bexar County residents will be able to use our $20 subsidy rate.

Animal Defense League

  • 2-2-22: Until further notice, ADL will have limited space for Community sterilizations. Dates will be posted here as they become available.
  • Trapper limit:  There is a 2 cat per person limit. If the capacity is not reached, they will accept more than 2 cats per person.
  • Drop off: 8:00 – 8:30 AM  (They will accept in AM until capacity is reached)
  • Pick up: 4:00 – 5:00 PM (same day) Clinic closes at 5pm and you will be billed if they have to board your cats.
  • ADL can elect to keep any cat for adoption.

  • Surgeries done:  Monday – Friday   (No feral surgeries on August 3rd, 17th, 24th, 26th & 31st. ) Please call the Helpline if you have a pregnant cat (210-877-9067).
  • Curbside Drop Off:  7:00 AM
  • Capacity:  10 cats per day with a limit of 3 cats/person

  • Trappers are to bring their traps into the Naylor building vestibule and return to their vehicles until technicians have reviewed their paperwork with them.
  • Joy will then call the number given on paperwork to go over surgery details and take payment with Lightspeed.  A check-out time will be given at this point. ** NO CASH ACCEPTED – ONLY CREDIT CARDS **
  • Trappers can pick up their cats from the vestibule in the afternoon.
  • Traps must have BOTH doors secured with either a carabiner or pipe cleaner to be accepted for surgery. No zip ties.

Animal Care Services Community Cat Program – FREE

This is a free voucher program for outside cats only. No paperwork will be given to the trapper. All cats will receive a rabies & FVRCP vaccination. You must pick up a voucher from ACS first. Traps may or may not be available.

This program has opened again on an appointment basis, and is open to any City of San Antonio resident. Appointments are for 2 cats at a time. Please go to the ACS website for more info and to register for an appointment. Surgeries are done on Tuesdays and Fridays. Capacity changed from 30 cats a day to 20 cats a day effective 6-8-21.

Other Spay/Neuter Clinics 

Anyone can use these clinics. You do not have to attend our TNR Class first but it is strongly recommended for safety of cat and trapper.

Hill Country Animal League in Boerne 

Surgery Days: Monday – Thursday  (No surgeries the 2nd Monday of every month) Feral surgeries by appointment only.  Please do not park in vacant lot to the left of our building. That is private property.
